Joelle Martinez, Executive Director of the Latino Leadership Institute at the University of Denver joins us to discuss the importance of immigration reform looking at demographics and the economics of immigration. She will address concerns that Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) might be repealed under a Trump Administration. Along with LLI Program Coordinator, Marco Dorado - himself a DACA recipient, who shares his struggles in obtaining an education and employment.
Joelle talks about efforts by Colorado Representative Mike Coffman, Illinios Representative Luis V. Gutierrez,  and U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Dick Durin (D-IL) to introduce the BRIDGE Act (Bar Removal of Individuals who Dream and Grow our Economy) to provide temporary relief from deportation, and work authorization to undocumented youth.
