In 2015, Obama's FCC Chairman, Tom Wheeler, took a heavy handed approach to internet regulation by classifying it as a "public utility" under Title II of the Communications Act. Trump's FCC Chairman is repealing this, but there is nothing to prevent any future Democratic Administration from re-imposing Title II, so there is an effort underway to enact legislation to ensure proper internet neutrality rules without turning the net into a government run entity. Kelly Sloan brings both Jason Pye, the public policy and legislative affairs director for FreedomWorks; and David Williams, President of the Taxpayers Protection Alliance to discuss this important issue.

Lewis Brown of Group Vigilant, is here to discuss his Life Music Workshop which gives young people in correctional programs, and other underserved populations the opportunity to write lyrics and create music that helps heal the past, and solidify a positive future. We’ll share stories as well as their original songs.
Founded in 2008, Group Vigilant is based on the philosophy that organizations and communities are built one person at a time. Their goal is to develop those individuals. They accomplish this through a three step approach, in the areas of Youth Development, Organizational Development and Community Development.

June 19 – Libby Anschutz – Take Note Colorado Initiative
All this week, we bring you the Business of music … Take Note Colorado is a statewide music initiative to provide music education and musical instruments to every student in the state.
Libby Anchutz, member of the Take Note Colorado steering committee as well as music coalition board of advisors for Take Note Colorado, an initiative convened by Governor Hickenlooper and key Colorado funders, will join us to talk about the program and progress in Colorado Schools.
We'll also talk about her work managing and performing in the band Tracksuit Wedding. She also owns and operates Bluedog Entertainment Group, a band incubator.
